Nothing says "summer" like a good love story, amiright?
If you're the type of person who enjoys a sizzling beach read or romantic comedy—even when the plot is TOTALLY obvious—you're gonna love this new podcast, RomCom Pods.
My friend Kristin sent me a text about it last week. She said it's the perfect cute, put-a-smile-on-your-face show, and that she was obsessed.
Naturally, I leapt for my phone and downloaded all the episodes I could (so far, that's 4). And y'all, I am so glad I did! This show is adorable. Read on for more.

What It's About: Season 1 is about a 28-year old woman who finds—just a few days before her wedding—that her fiance has been cheating on her. She decides to go on her romantic Italian honeymoon solo, and fun ensues.

My First Impressions: This show is basically the podcast equivalent of Under the Tuscan Sun. The main character even compares herself to Diane Lane (she also keeps trying to have her own "eat, pray, love" moment).
The supporting cast of characters is everything you love from a romcom; quirky and nosy, with the best of intentions. There are 8 regular characters, with one or two more sprinkled in, so it's just enough to keep things interesting without getting confusing.
What I love the most about this podcast are all the pop culture references. Some are written into the character dialogue, while others are insinuated (like the Insta-famous couple that barely knows each other and is only on the Italy trip to post photos non-stop).
There's also a stuck-up Harvard snob character who is awesomely terrible.
Everything about this podcast is predictable so far, but I don't care. That's what I love about a good romantic comedy. I want only subtle twists and turns, for the main character to have a grand adventure, and for the good guy to win in the end.
My only regret about getting into RomCom Pods is that I didn't do it when there were more episodes available. Waiting all week for a new episode stinks!
